7 И отвечал559 оруженосец:53753627 делай6213 все, что на сердце3824 у тебя; иди,5186 вот я с тобою, куда тебе угодно.3824

8 И сказал559 Ионафан:3083 вот, мы перейдем5674 к этим людям582 и станем1540 на1540 виду1540 у них;

9 если они так скажут559 нам: «остановитесь,1826 пока мы подойдем5060 к вам», то мы остановимся5975 на своих местах и не взойдем5927 к ним;

10 а если так скажут:559 «поднимитесь5927 к нам», то мы взойдем,5927 ибо Господь3068 предал5414 их в руки3027 наши; и это будет знаком226 для нас.

11 Когда оба8147 они стали1540 на1540 виду1540 у отряда4673 Филистимского,6430 то Филистимляне6430 сказали:559 вот, Евреи5680 выходят3318 из ущелий,2356 в которых попрятались2244 они.

12 И закричали6030 люди,582 составлявшие отряд,4675 к Ионафану3129 и оруженосцу53753627 его, говоря:559 взойдите5927 к нам, и мы вам скажем3045 нечто.1697 Тогда Ионафан3129 сказал559 оруженосцу53753627 своему: следуй5927 за310 мною, ибо Господь3068 предал5414 их в руки3027 Израиля.3478

36 И сказал559 Саул:7586 пойдем3381 в погоню за310 Филистимлянами6430 ночью3915 и оберем962 их до рассвета1242216 и не оставим7604 у них ни одного человека.376 И сказали:559 делай6213 все, что хорошо2896 в глазах5869 твоих. Священник3548 же сказал:559 приступим7126 здесь1988 к Богу.430

38 Тогда сказал559 Саул:7586 пусть подойдут5066 сюда1988 все начальники6438 народа5971 и разведают3045 и узнают,7200 на ком4100 грех2403 ныне?

39 ибо, — жив2416 Господь,3068 спасший3467 Израиля,3478 — если окажется3426 и на Ионафане,3129 сыне1121 моем, то и он умрет4191 непременно.4191 Но никто не отвечал6030 ему из всего народа.5971

40 И сказал559 Саул всем Израильтянам:3478 станьте вы по одну259 сторону,5676 а я и сын1121 мой Ионафан3129 станем по другую259 сторону.5676 И отвечал559 народ5971 Саулу:7586 делай,6213 что хорошо2896 в глазах5869 твоих.

41 И сказал559 Саул:7586 Господи,3068 Боже430 Израилев!3478 дай3051 знамение.8549 И уличены3920 были3920 Ионафан3129 и Саул,7586 а народ5971 вышел3318 правым.

42 Тогда сказал559 Саул:7586 бросьте5307 жребий между мною и между Ионафаном,3129 сыном1121 моим. И пал3920 жребий3920 на Ионафана.3129

46 И возвратился5927 Саул7586 от преследования310 Филистимлян;6430 Филистимляне6430 же пошли1980 в свое место.4725

Chapter 14

1 NOW it came to pass one day, Jonathan the son of Saul said to the young man who bore his armor, Come, let us go over to the Philistine garrison that is on the other side yonder. But he did not tell his father.

2 And Saul was staying in the outskirts of Ramtha under the pomegranate tree which is in Gibeon; and the people who were with him were about six hundred men;

3 And Ahiah, the son of Ahitub, Jochebar's brother, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli, the LORD'S priest in Shiloh, was wearing an ephod. And the people did not know that Jonathan was gone to the crossing place.

4 And as he sought to cross over to the Philistine garrison, behold, there was a steep rock on one side and a steep rock on the other side; and the name of the one was Bozez, and the name of the other Siaa.

5 One crag stood out northward over against Michmash and the other southward over against Gibeah.

6 And Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, Come, let us cross over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the LORD will help us; for nothing will prevent the LORD from saving by many or by few.

7 And his armorbearer said to him, Do all that is in your heart; turn aside, and go; beho ld, I am with you; do whatever is in your heart.

8 Then Jonathan said to him, Behold, we will cross over against these men, and we will show ourselves to them.

9 If they say to us. Stop until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up against them.

10 But if they say to us thus, Come up to us; then we will go up; for the LORD our God has delivered them into our hand; and this shall be a sign to us.

11 So both of them showed themselves to the garrison of the Philistines; and the Philistines said. Behold, the Hebrews are coming forth out of the holes where they had hid themselves.

12 And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armorbearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will show you something. And Jonathan said to his armorbearer, Come up after me; for the LORD has delivered them into the hand of Israel.

13 And Jonathan climbed up on his hands and on his feet, and his armor-bearer followed after him; and the Philistine garrison retreated before Jonathan; and his armorbearer slew with him.

14 And the first slaughter which Jonathan and his armorbearer made was about twenty men; they cut them to pieces like stone-cutters and like men who plough a field.

15 And there was trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people that stood by; and the raiders also trembled and the earth quaked; and the fear of the LORD fell upon them.

16 And the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked; and, behold, the Philistine army was in confusion, going away defeated.

17 Then Saul said to the people that were with him, Take a count and see who is gone from us. And when they had mustered, behold, Jonathan and his armorbearer were not there.

18 And Saul said to Ahiah, Bring here the ark of God. For the ark of God was at that time with the children of Israel.

19 And it came to pass, while Saul was talking to the priest, that the noise in the camp of the Philistines went on and increased; and Saul said to the priest, Withdraw your hand.

20 Then Saul and all the people who were with him shouted together, and they came to the battle; and, behold, every man's sword was against his fellow, and there was a very great confusion.

21 Moreover the Hebrews who were with the Philistines before that time, who had gone up with them to the camp, even they also turned to be with the Israelites and with Saul and Jonathan.

22 Likewise all the men of Israel who had hid themselves in mount Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled before the Israelites, even they armed themselves and followed hard after them in the battle.

23 So the LORD saved Israel that day; then the men of Israel passed over to Beth-aon to battle.

24 And Saul drew near that day and said to the people, Cursed be the man who eats food until evening, until I am avenged on my enemies. So none of the people tasted any food.

25 And they went throughout all the land and came into a forest; and, behold, there was honey in the forest on the ground.

26 And when the people were come into the forest, behold, the honey was dropping; but no one put his hand to his mouth; for the people feared the oath.

27 But Jonathan had not heard when his father adjured the people; so he put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and dipped it in a honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes brightened.

28 Then one of the men of the people spoke and said to Jonathan, Your father has surely adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man who eats food this day. And the people were faint with hunger.

29 Then Jonathan said, My father has troubled the land; see, how my eyes have been brightened because I tasted a little of this honey.

30 Moreover, because the people had not eaten today 6f the spoil of their enemies which they found, therefore there was not a greater slaughter of the Philistines.

31 We have smitten the Philistines today from Michmash to Aijalon; and the people are very faint with hunger.

32 Then the people rushed greedily on the spoil, and took sheep and oxen and calves, and slew them on the ground; and the people ate them with the blood.

33 Then they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people have sinned against the LORD in eating flesh with blood. And Saul said, You have transgressed; roll a great stone to me this day.

34 And Saul said, Go round about among the people and say to them, Bring every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and slay them here, and do not sin against the LORD in eating flesh with the blood. So all the people brought every man his ox with him that night, and slew them there.

35 And Saul built there an altar to the LORD; thus he began to build his first altar to the LORD.

36 And Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines by night, and plunder them until the morning, and let us not leave a man of them. And they said, Do whatever seems good to you.

37 And Saul said to God, Shall I go down after the Philistines? Wilt thou deliver them into the hands of Israel? But the LORD did not answer him that day.

38 And Saul said, Bring here all the families of the people; and know and see wherein this sin has been committed this day.

39 For, as the LORD lives, who saved Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But there was no one of all the people that answered him.

40 Then Saul said to all Israel, Be you on one side, and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said to Saul, Do whatever seems good to you.

41 Therefore Saul said, O LORD God of Israel, give a perfect lot. And Saul and Jonathan were taken; but the people were not taken.

42 And Saul said, Cast lots between me and Jonathan my son. And Jonathan was taken.

43 Then Saul said to Jonathan. Tell me what you have done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did taste a little honey with the end of the staff that was in my hand, and on account of that must I die?

44 And Saul said, God do so to me and more also, unless you shall surely die, Jonathan.

45 And the people said to Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who has wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid; as the LORD lives, there shall not a hair of his head fall to the ground; for he has saved the people of God this day. So the people delivered Jonathan and he did not die.

46 Then Saul returned from following the Philistines; and the Philistines went to their own country.

47 And Saul took the kingship over Israel, and he fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab and against the children of Ammon and against Edom and against the kingdom of Zobah and against the Philistines; and wherever he turned he was victorious.

48 And he mobilized an army and smote the Amalekites, and delivered Israel out of the hand of those who plundered them.

49 Now these were the sons of Saul: Jonathan, Ishui, Melchi-shua, and Ashbashul; and the names of his two daughters were these: the name of the elder Nadab, and the name of the younger Malchel;

50 And the name of Saul's wife was Ahinoam, the daughter of Ahimaaz; and the name of the general of his army was Abner, the son of Ner, Saul's uncle.

51 And Kish was the father of Saul; and Ner, the father of Abner, was the son of Abiel.

52 And there was severe war against the Philistines all the days of Saul; and when Saul saw any valiant man or any strong man, he took him to himself.

12 And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armorbearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will show you something. And Jonathan said to his armorbearer, Come up after me; for the LORD has delivered them into the hand of Israel.

13 И начал5927 всходить5927 Ионафан,3129 цепляясь руками3027 и ногами,7272 и оруженосец53753627 его за310 ним. И падали5307 Филистимляне пред3942 Ионафаном,3129 а оруженосец53753627 добивал4191 их за310 ним.

13 And Jonathan climbed up on his hands and on his feet, and his armor-bearer followed after him; and the Philistine garrison retreated before Jonathan; and his armorbearer slew with him.

14 И пало от этого первого7223 поражения,4347 нанесенного5221 Ионафаном3129 и оруженосцем53753627 его, около двадцати6242 человек,376 на половине2677 поля,46187704 обрабатываемого парою6776 волов в день.

14 And the first slaughter which Jonathan and his armorbearer made was about twenty men; they cut them to pieces like stone-cutters and like men who plough a field.

15 И произошел ужас2731 в стане4264 на поле7704 и во всем народе;5971 передовые отряды4673 и опустошавшие7843 землю пришли2729 в2729 трепет;2729 дрогнула7264 вся земля,776 и был ужас2731 великий от Господа.430

15 And there was trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people that stood by; and the raiders also trembled and the earth quaked; and the fear of the LORD fell upon them.

16 И увидели7200 стражи6822 Саула7586 в Гиве1390 Вениаминовой,1144 что толпа1995 рассеивается4127 и бежит3212 туда1986 и1986 сюда.1986

16 And the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked; and, behold, the Philistine army was in confusion, going away defeated.

17 И сказал559 Саул7586 к народу,5971 бывшему с ним; пересмотрите6485 и узнайте,7200 кто из наших вышел.1980 И пересмотрели,6485 и вот нет Ионафана3129 и оруженосца53753627 его.

17 Then Saul said to the people that were with him, Take a count and see who is gone from us. And when they had mustered, behold, Jonathan and his armorbearer were not there.

18 И сказал559 Саул7586 Ахии:281 «принеси5066 кивот727 Божий»,430 ибо кивот727 Божий430 в то время3117 был с сынами1121 Израильскими.3478

18 And Saul said to Ahiah, Bring here the ark of God. For the ark of God was at that time with the children of Israel.

19 Саул7586 еще говорил1696 к священнику,3548 как смятение1995 в стане4264 Филистимском6430 более3212 и3212 более3212 распространялось1980 и увеличивалось.7227 Тогда сказал559 Саул7586 священнику:3548 сложи622 руки3027 твои.

19 And it came to pass, while Saul was talking to the priest, that the noise in the camp of the Philistines went on and increased; and Saul said to the priest, Withdraw your hand.

20 И воскликнул Саул7586 и весь народ,5971 бывший2199 с ним, и пришли935 к месту сражения,4421 и вот, там меч2719 каждого376 обращен был против ближнего7453 своего; смятение4103 было очень3966 великое.1419

20 Then Saul and all the people who were with him shouted together, and they came to the battle; and, behold, every man's sword was against his fellow, and there was a very great confusion.

21 Тогда и Евреи,5680 которые вчера865 и третьего8032 дня8032 были у Филистимлян6430 и которые повсюду5439 ходили5927 с ними в стане,4264 пристали к Израильтянам,3478 находившимся с Саулом7586 и Ионафаном;3129

21 Moreover the Hebrews who were with the Philistines before that time, who had gone up with them to the camp, even they also turned to be with the Israelites and with Saul and Jonathan.

22 и все Израильтяне,3763478 скрывавшиеся2244 в горе2022 Ефремовой,669 услышав,8085 что Филистимляне6430 побежали,5127 также пристали1692 к310 своим в сражении.4421

22 Likewise all the men of Israel who had hid themselves in mount Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled before the Israelites, even they armed themselves and followed hard after them in the battle.

23 И спас3467 Господь3068 в тот день3117 Израиля;3478 битва4421 же простерлась5674 даже до Беф-Авена.1007

23 So the LORD saved Israel that day; then the men of Israel passed over to Beth-aon to battle.

24 Люди376 Израильские3478 были5065 истомлены5065 в тот день;3117 а Саул7586 заклял422 народ,5971 сказав:559 проклят,779 кто376 вкусит398 хлеба3899 до вечера,6153 доколе я не отомщу5358 врагам341 моим. И никто из народа5971 не вкусил2938 пищи.3899

24 And Saul drew near that day and said to the people, Cursed be the man who eats food until evening, until I am avenged on my enemies. So none of the people tasted any food.

25 И пошел935 весь народ776 в лес,3293 и был там на59216440 поляне7704 мед.1706

25 And they went throughout all the land and came into a forest; and, behold, there was honey in the forest on the ground.

26 И вошел935 народ5971 в лес,3293 говоря: вот, течет1982 мед.1706 Но никто не протянул5381 руки3027 своей ко рту6310 своему, ибо народ5971 боялся3372 заклятия.7621

26 And when the people were come into the forest, behold, the honey was dropping; but no one put his hand to his mouth; for the people feared the oath.

27 Ионафан3129 же не слышал,8085 когда отец1 его заклинал7650 народ,5971 и, протянув7971 конец7097 палки,4294 которая была в3027 руке его, обмокнул2881 ее в сот3295 медовый1706 и обратил7725 рукою3027 к устам6310 своим, и просветлели215 глаза5869 его.

27 But Jonathan had not heard when his father adjured the people; so he put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and dipped it in a honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes brightened.

28 И сказал6030 ему один376 из народа,5971 говоря:559 отец1 твой заклял7650 народ,5971 сказав:559 «проклят,779 кто376 сегодня3117 вкусит398 пищи»;3899 от этого народ5971 истомился.5774

28 Then one of the men of the people spoke and said to Jonathan, Your father has surely adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man who eats food this day. And the people were faint with hunger.

29 И сказал559 Ионафан:3129 смутил5916 отец1 мой землю;776 смотрите,7200 у меня просветлели215 глаза,5869 когда я вкусил2938 немного4592 этого меду;1706

29 Then Jonathan said, My father has troubled the land; see, how my eyes have been brightened because I tasted a little of this honey.

30 если3863 бы637 поел398 сегодня3117 народ5971 из добычи,7998 какую нашел4672 у врагов341 своих, то не большее7235 ли было7235 бы поражение4347 Филистимлян?6430

30 Moreover, because the people had not eaten today 6f the spoil of their enemies which they found, therefore there was not a greater slaughter of the Philistines.

31 И поражали5221 Филистимлян6430 в тот день3117 от Михмаса4363 до Аиалона,357 и народ5971 очень3966 истомился.5774

31 We have smitten the Philistines today from Michmash to Aijalon; and the people are very faint with hunger.

32 И кинулся58606213 народ5971 на7998 добычу,3947 и брали3947 овец,6629 волов1241 и телят,1121 и заколали7819 на земле,776 и ел398 народ5971 с кровью.1818

32 Then the people rushed greedily on the spoil, and took sheep and oxen and calves, and slew them on the ground; and the people ate them with the blood.

33 И возвестили5046 Саулу,7586 говоря:559 вот, народ5971 грешит2398 пред Господом,3068 ест398 с кровью.1818 И сказал559 Саул: вы согрешили;898 привалите1556 ко мне теперь большой1419 камень.68

33 Then they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people have sinned against the LORD in eating flesh with blood. And Saul said, You have transgressed; roll a great stone to me this day.

34 Потом сказал559 Саул:7586 пройдите6327 между народом5971 и скажите559 ему: пусть каждый376 приводит5066 ко мне своего вола7794 и каждый376 свою овцу,7716 и заколайте7819 здесь и ешьте,398 и не грешите2398 пред Господом,3068 не ешьте398 с кровью.1818 И приводили5066 все из народа,5971 каждый376 своею рукою,3027 вола7794 своего ночью,3915 и заколали7819 там.

34 And Saul said, Go round about among the people and say to them, Bring every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and slay them here, and do not sin against the LORD in eating flesh with the blood. So all the people brought every man his ox with him that night, and slew them there.

35 И устроил1129 Саул7586 жертвенник4196 Господу:3068 то был2490 первый2490 жертвенник,4196 поставленный1129 им Господу.3068

35 And Saul built there an altar to the LORD; thus he began to build his first altar to the LORD.

36 И сказал559 Саул:7586 пойдем3381 в погоню за310 Филистимлянами6430 ночью3915 и оберем962 их до рассвета1242216 и не оставим7604 у них ни одного человека.376 И сказали:559 делай6213 все, что хорошо2896 в глазах5869 твоих. Священник3548 же сказал:559 приступим7126 здесь1988 к Богу.430

36 And Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines by night, and plunder them until the morning, and let us not leave a man of them. And they said, Do whatever seems good to you.

37 И вопросил7592 Саул7586 Бога:430 идти3381 ли мне в погоню за310 Филистимлянами?6430 предашь5414 ли их в руки3027 Израиля?3478 Но Он не отвечал6030 ему в тот день.3117

37 And Saul said to God, Shall I go down after the Philistines? Wilt thou deliver them into the hands of Israel? But the LORD did not answer him that day.

38 Тогда сказал559 Саул:7586 пусть подойдут5066 сюда1988 все начальники6438 народа5971 и разведают3045 и узнают,7200 на ком4100 грех2403 ныне?

38 And Saul said, Bring here all the families of the people; and know and see wherein this sin has been committed this day.

39 ибо, — жив2416 Господь,3068 спасший3467 Израиля,3478 — если окажется3426 и на Ионафане,3129 сыне1121 моем, то и он умрет4191 непременно.4191 Но никто не отвечал6030 ему из всего народа.5971

39 For, as the LORD lives, who saved Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But there was no one of all the people that answered him.

40 И сказал559 Саул всем Израильтянам:3478 станьте вы по одну259 сторону,5676 а я и сын1121 мой Ионафан3129 станем по другую259 сторону.5676 И отвечал559 народ5971 Саулу:7586 делай,6213 что хорошо2896 в глазах5869 твоих.

40 Then Saul said to all Israel, Be you on one side, and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said to Saul, Do whatever seems good to you.

41 И сказал559 Саул:7586 Господи,3068 Боже430 Израилев!3478 дай3051 знамение.8549 И уличены3920 были3920 Ионафан3129 и Саул,7586 а народ5971 вышел3318 правым.

41 Therefore Saul said, O LORD God of Israel, give a perfect lot. And Saul and Jonathan were taken; but the people were not taken.

42 Тогда сказал559 Саул:7586 бросьте5307 жребий между мною и между Ионафаном,3129 сыном1121 моим. И пал3920 жребий3920 на Ионафана.3129

42 And Saul said, Cast lots between me and Jonathan my son. And Jonathan was taken.

43 И сказал559 Саул7586 Ионафану:3129 расскажи5046 мне, что сделал6213 ты? И рассказал5046 ему Ионафан3129 и сказал:559 я отведал2938 концом7097 палки,4294 которая в руке3027 моей, немного4592 меду;1706 и вот,2009 я должен41913548 умереть.41913548

43 Then Saul said to Jonathan. Tell me what you have done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did taste a little honey with the end of the staff that was in my hand, and on account of that must I die?

44 И сказал559 Саул:7586 пусть то и то сделает6213 мне Бог,430 и еще3254 больше3254 сделает;3254 ты, Ионафан,3129 должен4191 сегодня умереть!4191

44 And Saul said, God do so to me and more also, unless you shall surely die, Jonathan.

45 Но народ5971 сказал559 Саулу:7586 Ионафану3129 ли умереть,4191 который доставил6213 столь великое1419 спасение3444 Израилю?3478 Да2486 не2486 будет2486 этого! Жив2416 Господь,3068 и волос8185 не упадет5307 с головы7218 его на землю,776 ибо с Богом430 он действовал6213 ныне.3117 И освободил6299 народ5971 Ионафана,3129 и не умер4191 он.

45 And the people said to Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who has wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid; as the LORD lives, there shall not a hair of his head fall to the ground; for he has saved the people of God this day. So the people delivered Jonathan and he did not die.

46 И возвратился5927 Саул7586 от преследования310 Филистимлян;6430 Филистимляне6430 же пошли1980 в свое место.4725

46 Then Saul returned from following the Philistines; and the Philistines went to their own country.

47 И утвердил3920 Саул7586 свое царствование4410 над Израилем,3478 и воевал3898 со всеми окрестными5439 врагами341 своими, с Моавом4124 и с Аммонитянами,11215983 и с Едомом123 и с царями4428 Совы6678 и с Филистимлянами,6430 и везде, против кого ни обращался,6437 имел7561 успех.7561

47 And Saul took the kingship over Israel, and he fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab and against the children of Ammon and against Edom and against the kingdom of Zobah and against the Philistines; and wherever he turned he was victorious.

48 И устроил6213 войско,2428 и поразил5221 Амалика,6002 и освободил5337 Израиля3478 от руки3027 грабителей8154 его.

48 And he mobilized an army and smote the Amalekites, and delivered Israel out of the hand of those who plundered them.

49 Сыновья1121 у Саула7586 были: Ионафан,3129 Иессуи3440 и Мелхисуа;4444 а имена8034 двух8147 дочерей1323 его: имя8034 старшей1067 — Мерова,4764 а имя8034 младшей6996 — Мелхола.4324

49 Now these were the sons of Saul: Jonathan, Ishui, Melchi-shua, and Ashbashul; and the names of his two daughters were these: the name of the elder Nadab, and the name of the younger Malchel;

50 Имя8034 же жены802 Сауловой7586 — Ахиноамь,293 дочь1323 Ахимааца;290 а имя8034 начальника8269 войска6635 его — Авенир,74 сын1121 Нира,5369 дяди1730 Саулова.7586

50 And the name of Saul's wife was Ahinoam, the daughter of Ahimaaz; and the name of the general of his army was Abner, the son of Ner, Saul's uncle.

51 Кис,7027 отец1 Саулов,7586 и Нир,5369 отец1 Авенира,74 были сыновьями1121 Авиила.22

51 And Kish was the father of Saul; and Ner, the father of Abner, was the son of Abiel.

52 И была упорная2389 война4421 против Филистимлян6430 во все время3117 Саулово.7586 И когда Саул7586 видел7200 какого-либо человека376 сильного1368 и воинственного,11212428 брал622 его к себе.

52 And there was severe war against the Philistines all the days of Saul; and when Saul saw any valiant man or any strong man, he took him to himself.
